What this policy covers
How we collect, use, share and retain personal data when you visit store.datlynn.com, contact us, or purchase our digital products and services, including e-books, guides, templates, browser shortcut tools, Chrome or Microsoft Edge related resources, strategy sessions and hour packs. This policy applies to our website only; third-party sites linked from here have their own policies.
Browser tools and third-party links
Some Datlynn products may include browser shortcut tools, setup guides, downloadable files or links to browser store listings. These tools are designed to help users open selected public resources or websites more easily from a supported browser.
Unless clearly stated otherwise on a product page, Datlynn browser shortcut tools are not designed to collect personal information inside the extension itself and do not require users to create an account inside the extension.
When you visit third-party websites opened through a Datlynn browser tool, those websites are governed by their own privacy policies, cookie settings and terms. Datlynn does not control how third-party websites process personal data.
1) Data we collect
• Order & account: name, email, billing details, VAT number (if any), items purchased, account credentials.
• Payments: processed by our payment providers (we do not store full card details).
• Support: emails/messages sent to [email protected]
• Browser tool support: information you choose to share when asking for help, such as browser type, installation issue, screenshots or product name.
• Technical/usage: IP address, device/browser information, pages viewed, timestamps, diagnostic logs, cookies and similar technologies, analytics events and transaction-related event data such as purchased product/service category and transaction value where configured.
• Marketing preferences (if enabled): opt-in/opt-out choices; campaign attribution.
2) Why we use your data (legal bases)
• Perform a contract: process purchases, deliver digital access, account management, service notifications.
• Legitimate interests: improve the store, security/fraud prevention, operate our services (balanced against your rights).
• Consent: newsletters/marketing and non-essential cookies/analytics/ads (you can withdraw consent anytime).
• Legal obligation: tax/accounting, compliance.
3) Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and local storage) to operate and secure the site, remember preferences, and—where allowed—measure performance and improve our services.
Types we use
• Essential: required for core functions (e.g., login, cart/checkout, security).
• Preferences/Functional (optional): remember choices such as language.
• Analytics (optional): help us understand how our site is used.
• Marketing (optional): personalise offers or measure campaign performance.
Google Analytics 4 and Measurement Protocol
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our website and to measure the performance of our products, services and marketing activities.
Where permitted and subject to applicable consent requirements, Datlynn may also send selected events directly to Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Measurement Protocol. These events may include actions such as a completed purchase, the product or service purchased, transaction-related event information and, where applicable, the value of the transaction.
Measurement Protocol events are used to supplement website analytics and help us understand which products, services and customer journeys are effective.
We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, billing addresses or other directly personally identifiable information to Google Analytics.
Analytics data may include information such as page views, session information, approximate location, browser/device information, event information, purchased product or service categories, timestamps and transaction values where configured.
For visitors in the EEA/UK, non-essential analytics technologies are used in accordance with applicable consent requirements.
Your choices
You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through the consent options provided on our website. In the EEA/UK, non-essential cookies and analytics technologies are used in accordance with applicable consent requirements. Where consent is required, you can change or withdraw your consent through the available consent controls. Some features may not work without essential cookies.
Data & retention
Cookie identifiers and related event data are kept only as long as necessary for the stated purposes and per the tool’s retention settings. Where we use trusted providers (e.g., hosting/CDN/security providers or analytics platforms), they act under data-processing terms and only receive what’s necessary.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal; our site currently does not respond to DNT. We follow local consent rules regardless of DNT.
4) Sharing your data (processors/recipients)
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with trusted providers acting on our instructions and under data-processing terms, for example:
• Store/CRM: BizStackPro (on GoHighLevel infrastructure)
• Payments: Stripe/PayPal/etc. (PCI-DSS compliant)
• Email & automations: Mailgun/SendGrid/GHL email (as applicable)
• Hosting/CDN/Security providers
• Analytics/Tag Manager: Google Analytics 4 / Google Tag Manager, including Measurement Protocol events where configured and permitted.
Providers receive only what is necessary to deliver their services.
5) International transfers
If data is transferred outside your region (e.g., EEA/UK to a non-EEA country), we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or rely on adequacy decisions where available.
6) How long we keep data
• Orders & tax records: 7–10 years (legal requirement).
• Support communications: 24 months after resolution.
• Account data: while your account remains active; deleted or anonymised after 24 months of inactivity.
• Analytics: up to 14 months (or per your tool setting).
We delete or anonymise data when no longer needed.
7) Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you may withdraw consent at any time. We respond within one month (extendable as permitted) and may request identity verification. You may lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority (e.g., Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in NL, ICO in the UK).
8) California privacy (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents may request access, deletion, and information about our data practices. We do not “sell” personal information and do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If that changes, we will provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism.
9) Children
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 in the EEA/UK and under 13 in the US (COPPA). Our website is intended for users above these thresholds.
10) Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures (TLS/SSL, access controls, monitoring). Payments are processed by PCI-DSS-compliant gateways. No method is 100% secure; we continually improve protections.
11) Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing. Limited profiling may occur for analytics/marketing with consent.
12) Changes
We may update this policy; changes will appear here (“Last updated” date) and, where material, we’ll notify you via the store and/or email.
